Dental Bonding Systems

During many restorative procedures, a restorative dental bonding material is applied to the dentin or the tooth enamel. Typically, to enhance the composite bond, the dentist will first use etchant supplies (acidic materials specific for etching) to etch and prepare dentin and enamel for the bonding process. These etchants microscopically roughen the surface of the dentin or enamel, allowing for a greater bond between the tooth and the bonded material.
